Free casino doesn’t mean shortage of choice

November 19th, 2008 by admin

Just because you have decided to play (perhaps for now) in a free casino that doesn’t mean that you are tight, or that you are somehow lacking in adventurous spirit.  It is certainly not the case, especially when you consider the great games available at many a free casino:

•    Slot machines – traditionally an activity that requires feeding coins into a slot, but thanks to the wonders of modern technology you don’t have to enter a dime to enjoy it.

•    Blackjack – current thinking would suggest that as Blackjack is in fact, such a cerebral game, easy to learn but tricky to master, playing in an online casino is a superb (and cost-effective) way of picking up tips and skills that can be utilized later on when it comes to playing for money.

•    Roulette – maybe this is the kind of game that the naysayers suggest is representative of how a person gambling in a fee casino will behave differently from when they are playing with their own money.  Whether that is fair or not, you have ample opportunity to test your nerves and predictive skills in a free casino version.

•    Poker – hugely popular and again relatively easy to learn, though much more tricky to master.  Bring your poker face to a free casino, get your apprenticeship in and by the time it comes to gambling for money you will really be hitting your straps.

As you can see, free casino really doesn’t mean shortage of choice.

Backgammon Board Games Are Good For The Family

November 9th, 2008 by admin

If your family is like mine, board games are a great way to spend a family night together.  My family likes competitive strategy games; our favorite is backgammon board games.  Because backgammon is a two player game, we either play in teams or with two boards’ tournament style.  There are many variations of backgammon as well and you can find some backgammon board games that reflect this, which makes it fun to try different variations on different nights.  Of course, we generally stick to traditional backgammon, it just creates less confusion.

Backgammon really is a family game though.  You can play it fast or slow and, unlike trivia games, it doesn’t bring out contention.  We have a very competitive family and the kids can get testy with things like trivia games.  Plus, backgammon is so easy to learn; even if a friend is over they can learn to play easily.  And, what makes it even friendlier is that backgammon board games are cheap.  A typical board with pieces costs around $10-$15 although you could spend way more for super fancy leather cased boards.

Not only that, but backgammon is great for the kids, it really make them think strategically and critically and although they may not know it, that kind of in depth, think it through thought process will help them in school and life.  I highly suggest trying out backgammon board games if your family likes family game nights.  Playing backgammon is a lot of fun, cheap, easy, and your kids will get something out of it.

Free Casino play – well almost

September 19th, 2008 by admin

To be able to play in a free casino seems like a pretty good deal.  Sure, there are not the opportunities to win big bucks, but on the flip side you can’t lose oodles of cash either, which I think for those of us not involved in any type of professional gambling is the way that it should be.  Although the debate rages about which kind of online casino site is better; free casino or paying casino, that isn’t really my motivation here.

There has been an interesting development in that people can now purchase online slot games and this is where the free casino play comes in, afterwards play for nothing.  If that seems like a madcap idea, it is and it isn’t.  We all know and love the slot machines, wiling away endless and contented hours playing them.  They also happen to be extremely profitable for an online casino.  So where’s the catch you might be thinking.  Well, in this particular free casino, clearly you can’t win any huge jackpots, but it is a keen way of promoting fun and taking some of the obvious risk from playing.  So many people started out a lucrative side-line in internet gambling by playing in a free casino that it might actually turn out to be a very shrewd move.

If you want to play in this free casino, you will have to pay for downloading the software, which works with most up-to-date operating systems and a whole new world of opportunity awaits.

Beat the Daily Grind with Online Blackjack

September 4th, 2008 by admin

For me, life can be pretty hectic.  I have a very stressful job and family life with 3 teenage kids is exhausting.  Not that I mind; I wouldn’t trade it for anything.  But we all need our own time to relax and regroup.  For me there is no better way to escape everyday life than playing online blackjack.

That mind sound funny, after all, online gambling is a competitive activity.  And I am certainly competitive, but there’s something about the simplicity yet complex strategy involved with online blackjack that really allows me to be just relax, forget about daily stresses, and just concentrate on beating the house to 21.  That’s why I’m really happy that online casinos exist.  I don’t live near a casino and to be honest, casinos are a pretty crazy environment.  Not what I’m looking for to distress.  Gambling from home offers me the perfect way to relax and have fun.  I can listen to music in my boxers sitting in my favorite armchair and making money with online blackjack at the same time.  Now that’s fun!  And what’s better is that with online casinos you can get great bonuses and meet great people while making money.  So that’s a lot of positives.

I don’t know if my strategy to beat the daily grind can work for everyone.  But, if you think maybe it can work for you, why not give it a try.  Online casinos offer every type of game, not just blackjack, so you’ll have no problem finding that perfect escape for you.

Backgammon Instructions and Rules

August 5th, 2008 by admin

The game of backgammon is a board game that is played betweentwo players. It’s recommended that you learn the backgammon instructions andrules before you play. The equipment used for backgammon includesthe actual board, 30 counters (also referred to as ‘pieces’ or ‘men’) two diceper player and a doubling cube when gambling. The general objective of backgammonis for each player to try and move his or her fifteen counters across the boardand off it. The first player to do this wins the game.

The backgammon board is divided into four quarters – twoinner boards and two outer boards, with one of the inner boards serving as ahome board for the player. Each quadrant has six points.  The ridge that separates the board is calleda bar.  The counters are placed ina specific way on the board as follows: 2 checkers on point 24, 5 checkers onpoint 13, 3 checkers on point 8 and 5 checkers on point 6.

Once players determine who goes first (by rolling one dice each andseeing who has the highest number), the backgammon game begins. Playersthen take turns in rolling two dice each and moving the counters across theboard onto points where and when it is permissible to do so. If a player landson a point that has a single counter belonging to the opponent, the ‘hit’counter needs to be placed on the bar and the opponent then has to play to getit off the bar and back onto the board. Players aim to bring all their counters onto their home board beforeremoving them altogether.  Thefirst player to remove all the checkers is the backgammon winner.
